Our Experience

We went to Brave Steakhouse on our first night at Iberostar Selection Bavaro, which fell on a Thursday night.  We arrived at the restaurant around 6:15pm and there was a short line of people waiting to get in.  The hostess greeted us, and she informed us that we would have a table for 2 when the doors opened at 6:30pm.

At 6:30pm, doors opened, and we were seated.  Our waiter greeted us with some water and some freshly made bread.  We looked over the menu and placed our food and drink order.

Appetizers – We both ordered the Ceasar Salad and got one Blooming Onion to share.  The Ceasar Salad was made fresh and table-side.  It was delicious!  The Blooming Onion was good as well.

Entrees – For our entrees, Leah ordered the New York Strip with Chimichurri and French Fries.  I got the Petite Filet with Blue Cheese and Mashed Potatoes.  Both steaks were cooked to perfection.  The sauces were a great complement to them both.  The sides were both kind of a miss for us.

Dessert – For dessert, Leah ordered the Cheesecake, and I went with the Double Chocolate Brownie.  The Chocolate Brownie was definitely the winner between the two.

So, there you have it.  Our first specialty dining experience at Iberostar Selection Bavaro did not disappoint.  Brave far exceeded our expectations, and we were tempted to make another visit before our vacation was over, but it just didn’t happen.  If you are a steak lover, be sure to add this one to the top of your list for your next visit to Iberostar Selection Bavaro.
