Family Favorite Quick and Easy Smoked French Bread Pizza

If you are looking for an easy and quick way to smoke up some delicious pizza, this is for you!  

All you’ll need is a loaf of French bread and your desired pizza toppings.  Easy enough!  What I like about this is you can buy a big loaf of French bread and make 4 different pizzas on it.

Prep Time: 5-10 minutes

Cook Time: 30-45 minutes

Directions:

  1. Preheat the smoker to 250 degrees.  My go to pellet blend is the Competition Blend from Pit Boss, but feel free to mix it up with your preferred flavor.
  2. While the smoker is preheating, cut your French bread in half the long way and then cut it in half the short way.  Now you’ll have four sections of bread.
  3. From there, the options are endless!  Top it with your favorite sauce and toppings.
  4. For the pizzas I smoked, I did the following flavor combinations:
    1. Traditional spaghetti sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and Italian seasoning.
    2. Olive oil and minced garlic, mozzarella cheese, fresh basil, and italian seasoning.
    3. Pesto, mozzarella cheese, green pepper, onion, and italian seasoning.
    4. Chipotle ranch, mozzarella cheese, some leftover chipotle chicken (already cooked), and italian seasoning.
  5. I topped all of the pizzas with some parmesan cheese.
  6. Place on a baking sheet and smoke for about 30 – 40 minutes.  I did crank up the heat the last 5 minutes or so to get a little more crispness to the crust. 
  7. Cut in pieces and enjoy!

The options are endless for sauces and toppings.  Mix it up all summer long.
