Ultimate Adventure: Preview of the Wonder of the Seas!

Let’s go! We are getting ready to set sail on a 7-Night Western Caribbean Cruise on the Wonder of the Seas. Here is a preview of our week ahead!
This will be cruise #11 for me and our 5th time on an Oasis Class Ship. The Oasis Class Ships have quickly become our favorite class due to the vast variety of entertainment and food options onboard. We have sailed on the Allure of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas (x2), and most recently the Oasis of the Seas.
This will also be a kid-free cruise, the first one since 2016. We are looking forward to trying some new restaurants, exploring more of the entertainment, and enjoying the drink package.
Wonder of the Seas Stats
Wonder of the Seas was built in 2022 and is part of Royal Caribbean’s Oasis Class Ships. The ship can accommodate 5,734 passengers at double occupancy, or up to 6,988 passengers in total. In addition, there are 2,300 crew onboard.
The ship is massive! At 1,188 feet long, 210 feet wide, Wonder has a gross tonnage of 236,857. With 18 decks (16 for guests), there’s no shortage of things to explore. From 4 pools and 10 whirlpools to 20 restaurants, numerous bars and lounges, and eight unique neighborhoods, Wonder of the Seas offers a wide range of experiences to suit every traveler—whether you’re after excitement, relaxation, or indulgence.
Ports of Call
Our itinerary takes us on a 7-Night Western Caribbean Cruise, leaving out of Port Canaveral, Florida.
We will enjoy stops at Perfect Day at CocoCay, Cozumel, Roatan, and Costa Maya.
As far as excursions go, we have a day pass for the adults-only Hideaway Beach at CocoCay. We can’t wait to relax in the heated infinity pool, sip drinks at the swim-up bar, and listen to some great tunes by the pool.

At the other ports, we plan to do some shopping at the port before returning to the ship to enjoy all the amenities while the ship is less crowded.
Wonder of the Seas Dining Preview
You know that we love food, so you know that we will be eating as much as we can during our cruise!
For breakfast expect us to head over to Johnny Rockets, Park Cafe, Cafe Promenade, the Main Dining Room, and of course the Windjammer.
For lunch, we’ll plan to eat our way through El Loco Fresh, Windjammer, CocoCay’s Snack Shack, Boardwalk DogHouse, and Park Cafe.
On all of our previous cruises, we’ve always enjoyed dinner in the Main Dining Room. The food has consistently been excellent, and the service is always top-notch. We’ve reserved Early Dining every night (except the last night) at 5:00pm.
Now, with this being our first kid-free cruise since 2016, we decided to splurge a bit and reserve a few meals at some of the Specialty Dining venues.

First on our list is the Mason Jar – Brunch. We snagged a reservation during a 40% off sale for $20.99 per person. While the reviews are a bit mixed, everything about this place seems like it’ll be a great fit for us. The food looks delicious, the specialty cocktails sound fun, and the live country music is sure to be a hit!
We booked one of our lunches at Izumi Sushi. We have really become big fans of sushi, and we are looking forward to continuing to expand our love of sushi. Once again, we scored a great deal, booking during a 40% off sale for $23.99 per person.
For one dinner, we decided to step outside the Main Dining Room for our final night onboard. After researching all the Specialty Dining options, the clear favorite was 150 Central Park. We booked this fine-dining experience during a 30% off sale for $44.99 per person. Some of the menu items are a bit out of our comfort zone, but we’re excited to give it a try!
Beverage Package
On our last cruise with the kids, we booked the Refreshment Package. This gave us unlimited specialty coffee, shakes at Johnny Rockets, fresh juice, smoothies, mocktails, and soda. The sheer amount of specialty coffee we drank alone made it totally worth it.

When it came time to book this cruise, we decided to skip most excursions except for Hideaway Beach at CocoCay and really treat ourselves by purchasing the Deluxe Beverage Package. We scored a 30% off deal and bought two Deluxe Beverage Packages for $76.99 per day, per person. We really are looking forward to trying all of the specialty cocktails onboard and not having to worry about how much we are spending each day. Stay tuned to find out if it was worth the extra cost!
Wonder of the Seas Entertainment Preview
As we said, the entertainment onboard an Oasis Class ship has never disappointed us (except for Cats on the Oasis of the Seas). Often times, we think the Aqua Shows are reason enough to book an Oasis Class.
Royal Caribbean always does such a great job holding varies events and activities all throughout the day, and we’ll be checking out a variety of the entertainment while we’re onboard.
During the day, we plan to spend most of our time relaxing by the pool. Of course, we’ll also be checking out the mini-golf course, zip-line, and Ultimate Abyss.
For our evening entertainment, we have reservations for inTENse (Aqua Show), Voices (Royal Theater Production), 365 Seasons on Ice (Ice Skating Show), Adult Comedy (this will be a first for us!), The Effectors II (Royal Theater Production), and the Headliner Theater Show, which appears to be a comedic juggler.
We are also really looking forward to checking out all of the live music around the ship at the various venues in the evening.
Our Room
For this trip, we decided to cash in our Royal Caribbean Visa credit card points. The one stipulation we had when booking was that it had to be at least an Ocean View Room. When we initially booked the room, we were okay with that and selected an Ocean View Room on Deck 8.
Once the Royal Up program became available, we decided to place bids for an Ocean View Balcony Room and a Neighborhood Balcony Room. For those who aren’t familiar, the Royal Up program lets you bid on a potential room upgrade.

With just over a week left before our cruise, we received the exciting news that our Royal Up bid for a Neighborhood Balcony was accepted! We’ve been assigned a Central Park Balcony, which is a first for us. We can’t wait to experience it! We’ll be sure to let you know how it compares to an Ocean View Balcony and if the Royal Up Program was worth it.
The Wrap Up: Preview of the Wonder of the Seas!
